Welcome to Pepperberries! I’m Anne Schilling Detweiler, the founder and realistic floral designer behind our charming lifestyle shop in Uniontown, PA.
A Seed Planted Early
My journey began many years ago, inspired by my mom’s creative approach to home décor and my dad’s strong work ethic as a small-town business owner. Mom taught me to dive into projects with passion and attention to detail, while Dad showed me that success is measured by the positive impact you leave on your community.
Realistic Floral Design
At Pepperberries, my niche is realistic floral design. I create unique pieces for doors, mantels, tables, walls, and floors. From topiaries and garlands to wedding bouquets and sympathy arrangements, each piece is crafted with the highest quality stems and meticulous attention to detail. I go to extensive lengths to hand-pick the best materials, ensuring that every creation adds texture and warmth to your space. My designs cater to all tastes and styles, whether traditional, contemporary, upscale lodge, farmhouse, or Williamsburg.
A Shop Overflowing with Inspiration
Our small shop is a treasure trove of decorating, entertaining, fashion, and hosting ideas. It’s ever-changing, thanks to a community of passionate artisans and their handcrafted products. We offer an inspiring shopping experience that stands out from big box stores and internet conglomerates. Imagine a shop where the owner answers the phone!
The Accidental Beginning
Pepperberries began quite accidentally. While searching for a place to sell my floral designs to other specialty shops, I stumbled upon a dilapidated 1820s house on Main Street. With help from family and friends, we transformed it into the beloved shop it is today. Since 2003, it’s been a work in progress, but our success is measured by the respect, integrity, inspiration, and enjoyment we bring to our community.
